Dave Kennedy (Host)
Dave Kennedy is a storyteller above all else, and its easy to see why. His songs paint a cinematic portrait of America as his characters journey through love, heartbreak, humor, sin, redemption, revenge, and perhaps even a few of the songwriters own footsteps along the way. Bringing these songs to life is a voice so soaring and powerful you cant help but be swept away into his world by the end of the first chorus. He navigates his way through each story and each world with a dynamic presence of both strength and subtlety that appreciates both the peaks and the valleys, the highways and the backroads, the loves lost and lingering in his mind. Its for all these reasons that Dave has a reputation as one of Nashvilles most respected songwriters and artists, and why artists like TRAVIS TRITT, RILEY GREEN, WHISKEY MYERS, DRAKE WHITE, LARRY FLEET, and others are eager to continue writing and performing with Dave Kennedy.

ABOUT CAITLIN CANNON
Caitlin Cannon’s upcoming release, Beggar, a four-song EP set to debut on April 5, 2024, as a standalone precursor to her forthcoming full-length album Love Addict, is all songwriting chops and vibe.
Caitlin Cannons not a songwriter for the winners. Shes a songwriter for the broken, the downtrodden, the losers, the motherf. She sings about real sh that most other songwriters dont have the guts to broach. A crack pool player and a hilarious person on stage who could have a second career as a comedian, Caitlin Cannon is one of those country artists that slides so criminally under the radar, it angers the blood

PRESS
“The high quality of the playing and extensive nature of the solos as well each pieces compositional development come as no surprise.”- Ron Wynn, Nashville Scene
“a versatile, risk-taking progressive jazz drummer…”
-Jonathan Widran, JAZZIZ
It is truly progressive and fundamentally jazzand a reason to be excited about the continuing evolution of jazz in Music City. Sean Maloney, Nashville Scene
Her new album Secrets of the Shore is fantastic and lush – in the vein of. Miles with Gil Evans or Maria Schneider. Complex but not out there or overly dissonant. The horn charts are just gorgeous. But live, oh wow I was floored. I don’t know where she found these young hotshots, but man the talent in this town is crazy.- Craig Havighurst, award-winning music journalist.

6th Annual Blue Balloon Spring Songwriting Showcase
Blue Balloon Songwriting School has been around for 15 years in NYC and since 2017 in Nashville. We have had our annual young songwriters showcases at the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn, and the City Winery in Manhattan. This is our first time presenting our young songwriters at Analog at the Hutton Hotel. Our concerts are open to the public, draw a wonderful crowd, and have been listed in the NY Times many times and featured in Time Out NY Kids. We pride ourselves on putting on a real show for these kids who are as little as 4 years old, so they have the experience of playing in front of a live audience, plugged in onstage. Our students will have the opportunity to perform their amazingly beautiful and original songs as well as songs they’ve worked hard to learn on their instruments all year.
